ECE Real Estate Partners

Focus on sustainability & responsibility

Six strategic fields of action

Sustainability and Responsibility are in our main focus and form an integral part of our corporate strategy. They take place through our defined values and objectives. We consistently gear our business activities towards long-term value creation and assume responsibility for the society: for our employees, our properties, for the cities in which we are active, and for the efficient and careful use of the resources we employ.

For our ESG strategy we identified six strategic fields of action, each consisting of carefully set targets.

In addition to political regulations and requirements, our holistic sustainability strategy takes the expectations of our investors and other stakeholders such as tenants, visitors, and employees into account. Our “Net Zero” objective means achieving a balance between the amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced and those removed from the atmosphere to reduce global warming. We believe that reducing these greenhouse gas emissions is key in generating a positive impact on climate change. As a result, the ECE Real Estate Partners’ ESG strategy is to set a goal of being net zero by 2040 as part of the Paris Agreement, signed in 2016.

Sustainable Trends

ECE Real Estate Partners signed the UN Principles for Responsible Investment on 16 June 2020. The signatories contribute to develop a more sustainable global financial system. Selected principles are to incorporate ESG issues into decision-making as well to seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which ECE Funds invest.

Responsible Investment and
sustainability-related disclosure:

As the importance of sustainability issues becomes better and more and more widely understood, the demand for organizations to be transparent about their performance increases. Therefore, ECE Real Estate Partners is participating in some of the largest and most widely accepted sustainability reporting initiatives, namely UN PRI reporting and GRESB in addition to the European Union initiatives lead by the Sustainable Financial Disclosure Directive (SFDR).

UN PRI reporting

UN PRI reporting is the largest global reporting project on responsible investment. It was developed with investors, for investors and signatories to report publicly on responsible investment activities. UN PRI Promotes transparency, learning and development by producing module- and indicator-level scores, downloadable reports and assessment scorecards.

GRESB reporting

GRESB Assessment Reporting provides a global ESG benchmark and reporting framework for listed property companies, private property funds, developers, and investors that invest directly in real estate. It is shaped by what investors and the industry consider to be material issues in the sustainability performance of real estate investments.
